What to Wear
With Your Pearls?
Whether you have a
thousand dollar heirloom strand of matched black pearls
or a sweetheart choker of blush-pink freshwater beauties,
you will want an outfit or two in your closet that
will give you a chanc e
to showcase your pearls and let them accent your own
looks.
Pearls are timeless. Elegance personified.
You shouldn't think they are only for formal occasions,
however, with the right outfit, you can wear your
treasures anywhere. Keeping them locked in a safe
is a horrible waste.
Of course, formal occasions present
the most natural chance to dress up and pour on the
glamour. Long evening gowns offer the perfect backdrop
for long and knotted strands, while the shorter cocktail
dresses form an excellent focal point for smaller
necklaces and teardrop pearls. Multiple strands can
be looped for varying lengths to fit almost any neckline
and dress style.
Consider an even strand of medium pearls

sweater set for cool days, or perhaps with the preppy
outfit for college interviews. A larger necklace strung

pearls and matched earrings worn with a suit gives
a mature appearance for business meetings, and a thick
choker with that little black dress is suitable

still a wonderful fashion statement. A fine strand
with a casual sundress and heeled sandals can go from
a walk on the beach to a dinner date. Bracelets
are lovely for wearing with jeans or a skirt and a

of graduated sizes to the center each year,
finishing with a teardrop for her 18th birthday.
